Patagonia is one of our favorite regions in the world for the outdoors. From hiking and camping to kayaking and climbing this vast region offers many outdoor activities. We spent several months hiking and camping in Patagonia. As a result, we’ve created many posts dedicated to the region. We’ve created the Patagonia planning resources page to make your navigation on our blog easier so you can faster find the information that you’re looking for. All our Patagonia posts are divided into different categories.

Planning a trip to Patagonia might be overwhelming. There are so many incredible places to see and things to do that it’s difficult to decide which ones to choose especially if you have limited time. For us, the main highlights of Patagonia were Perito Moreno Glacier and El Chalten in Argentina and Torres del Paine and Carretera Austral in Chile. All these places offer breathtaking scenery and a wide range of activities.

We traveled Patagonia extensively for 3 months, did many hikes, and camped most of the time. This year 2023 we are going back to this amazing region to explore more of it.

Alya

The pretty half of Stingy Nomads, responsible for all our land adventures (hiking, climbing, walking the Camino) and following them write-ups. Alya loves walking since she was a child, she prefers to walk 1000 km with a backpack rather than to do a 10 000 km road trip (actually any road trip). Alya is a big fan of Latin America, the Spanish language, and dancing. Every time we go away she desperately misses our dog Chile.
