Is there coverage for a 74 year old male?

Stingy Nomads

Saturday 28th of January 2023

Hello Vern, our insurance partners only cover travelers up to 70 years of age. I can suggest you contact a company that offers travel insurance in your country of residence. A local travel agent or your bank should be able to refer you to a company that can assist you. Buen Camino!

Is it possible to walk with a service animal and stay in the albuergas?

Stingy Nomads

Hello Sharon. We can't answer your question. We have never met anybody with a service dog at albergues. As far as I know, public albergues don't allow animals but service dogs are often allowed in places where animals are not allowed otherwise. Some private albergues allow dogs. Buen Camino

AGE DISCRIMINATION. Sorry, you guys are fantastic, but I have a real problem when I see discriminatory practices like this. It drops in half if I put in 20 years younger! I'm going to shop around a bit and see if it is like that everywhere. Sad.

Hello Jana, thank you for reading, I am glad you find our site helpful. We did find that health insurance was more expensive with an increase in age. We have used Safetywing ourselves, because we found them good value for money. I hope you find an option that works for you and that you have a fantastic trip. Buen Camino
