Thank you for your effort — a great summary with great information. I’m interested in how often you need to get a stamp, and whether it’s okay, as some people say, to start your journey in Porto, take the train/metro from the cathedral to Matosinhos, and then continue from there along the Litoral Way route.”

Hello Matej. Thank you for the comment. Yes, it's fine if you take a train to Matosinhos you will still be eligible for getting the Compostela. The walk from the Cathedral to Matosinhos is quite beautiful I guess people skip it because they want to have a shorter first walking day. If you walk from Porto you can collect 1-2 stamps per day. One you can get at your accommodation and one at a restaurant, cafe, or church along the route. You can collect more stamps if you want. Buen Camino

Hello Denise, thank you for your comment. You can get stamps at any bar, restaurant, or accommodation on the way. They are not all marked on the map. Buen Camino
