This is a Google Maps track of the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route and can be used on a mobile phone for navigation. We created this map following the yellow arrows with a GPS device. The link can only be opened while online (with Wi-Fi or data), but navigation on the track works even when offline. Click on the map, make it full screen, zoom in and keep the blue dot on the trail.

Good afternoon, I am currently at Stage 3 of your proposed itinerary and all is well on the Camino. Thank you! However, I am struggling with the Google map - every time I open it to track my movements the map more often than not, defaults to ‘local vibes’- a feature of google that can not be turned off therefore I can no longer see the route proposed. The only way to gets it to work I have to delete google and re-install. As far as can tell, this is new, and it’s not popular. Any solutions to this issue?

@Stingy Nomads, I have an IPhone. I tap on the map as you suggest but it still does not resolve the problem. The only way I can see/track the route is by deleting GM and re install. This works for a while but then stops suddenly. It’s frustrating to say the least. When it works it’s terrific but doesn’t s not last. I need a another solution that is just as easy

Hello Michele. Thank you for the comment. I just tried one of our maps on my phone (Android) while I do see the local vibe thing my route is still there and if I just click on it on the map the "local vibe" disappears and I get the route details instead. Is your phone an iPhone? Maybe it works differently. I hope you will be able to solve it. Buen Camino!

Hello Mary. Thank you for your comment. I suggest you contact Correos https://www.elcaminoconcorreos.com/en/rucksack-transfer they are quite flexible. It's strange that you can't find anything in Redondela. For when are you trying to book? Some places are not taking reservations yet for 2-3 months ahead. I guess they will start doing so sometime in February as the season is approaching. Buen Camino

I’m interested in how often you need to get a stamp, and whether it’s okay, as some people say, to start your journey in Porto, take the train/metro from the cathedral to Matosinhos, and then continue from there along the Litoral Way route.”

Hello Matej. Thank you for the comment. Yes, it's fine if you take a train to Matosinhos you will still be eligible for getting the Compostela. The walk from the Cathedral to Matosinhos is quite beautiful I guess people skip it because they want to have a shorter first walking day. If you walk from Porto you can collect 1-2 stamps per day. One you can get at your accommodation and one at a restaurant, cafe, or church along the route. You can collect more stamps if you want. Buen Camino
