Pilgrims can also enrich this journey by combining it with the Spiritual Variant (Variante Espiritual) near Pontevedra — a scenic and reflective extension through ancient monasteries and along serene estuaries, culminating in a memorable boat trip that retraces the legendary final voyage of Saint James’ body to Santiago de Compostela.
